ZACH TENORIO
Los Angeles based keyboardist, pianist, synth sculptor and sample artist, Zach Tenorio spent the last 15 years touring, recording, and writing with a wide variety of artists including Kimbra, Jon Anderson (Yes), AC Newman, Perry Farrell and his band, Arc Iris. On stage he's often flanked by rows of keyboards, jumping from one to the next, like a mad scientist in a laboratory of sound. In many of of his projects including Arc Iris, he plays bass synth on a monstrous analog Moog synthesizer akin to 1970's Stevie Wonder.
Credits include:
Jon Anderson, Kimbra, Neko Case, Perry Farrell, Donald Fagen, Gail Ann Dorsey, AC Newman, Slash, Nicole Atkins, Elvis Perkins, John Medeski, Marco Benevento, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah and The Barr Brothers.
"My background lives within the cross section of early 70's progressive rock, modern hip hop and pop production, and French composer, Claude Debussy. I'm fascinated with finding not only the perfect sound for a song, but one that is unique and alive. I adore synthesizers and sampling but I also appreciate the subtly of bringing out different sounds in a piano."
